Bekah and Slade's Elegant December Wedding

From the bride: Our wedding was everything we could have ever dreamed of. Everything that we had planned for months turned out perfect. Our venue had glass walls on two sides and overlooked the Ohio River. The ceremony had an airy, wintery, romantic feel to it due to the natural light in the room. We wanted a short and sweet ceremony and that’s exactly what we had. Our ceremony was very traditional, but we added our own twist to the unity. We asked our guests to write us words of encouragement, advice, memories, etc. and our wedding party, grandparents, and parents to write us letters that were put into a personalized box when they arrived at the venue. During the ceremony, Slade and I locked our letters in the box, along with the other notes and a bottle of wine that we will enjoy with our cake on our first wedding anniversary.

Our reception was held in a ballroom adjacent to our ceremony room. It also had two glass walls overlooking the river and classy black, white, and red decorations. We wanted a memorable reception that would allow our guests to enjoy themselves. Our cocktail hour had three different types of served hors d’oeuvres, a full open bar (that continued until the end of the night), and a photo booth with many fun props. After our wedding party introductions, we had a full plated meal. Each guest had a personalized place card that included their name, meal choice and able number, kids had coloring books and crayons to keep them occupied, and personalized red M&Ms with our wedding date. We had a variety of music that encouraged all our guests to join us on the dance floor, and most of the time it was completely full. (Not to brag, but we had so many complements on how fun our wedding was and how our guests didn’t want the night to end.)
