Paige and Caleb's Whimsical Wedding

From the bride - We were married in a beautiful barn in Harrodsburg, KY, my husband's hometown. When we first looked at the venue it was still in the process of being renovated, and even though it was not nearly complete (didn't even have floors) I could still see the beauty that was going to be made. We were one of the first 5 weddings held at this venue, and it did not disappoint. With the beauty of the location and our many DIY details, the day turned into exactly what I had imagined.

Because I'm a huge crafter, I knew I would want to make as many details as possible for our big day. My husband is a trooper and assisted in many of my projects from making 200 miniature tissue boxes, to staining and cutting the wood for the acrylic table numbers. He also made our wooden cake stand, which was the perfect addition to our beautiful cake. The tissue boxes, table numbers, welcome sign, bridesmaid's glasses, ring bearer signs, and most importantly the mirror seating chart, were all made by me. One of my sisters made our puzzle guest book, bride and groom signs, hangers for the bridesmaids, and the signs to label the most delicious fudge made by my mother for all of the guests. Some of the other details included our favors which were hen & chicks that were placed on each guests' plate, flip flops for the dancing ladies, and program fans. My husband also built our bar for the reception. The decor was mostly greenery and gold with a few blush accents here and there.

The day was perfect and included so many friends and family members that we love. My favorite moment, or moments, all included the huge smile on my groom's face throughout the day. We were the happiest we'd ever been. Caleb says his favorite moment was when the ceremony began and he finally got to see me..
