Simple, Fun Ashland Wedding

Michaela and Dustin’s Simple Romantic Wedding

From the bride: My husband and I were engaged in September and married only two months later - on a Thursday! Other than my husband, the one thing I knew I wanted was an unconventional wedding dress! As beautiful as they were, I did not feel like myself in the stiff, white wedding dresses. My dress actually had a nude romper underneath that my bridal party thought was hysterical! Despite their laughter, I fell in love with it and knew it would fit into the moody, boho vibe I wanted. With two months prep time before a wedding, you cannot get too caught up in all the little details. I had to hone in on what was important to me. Photographs of the big day were at the very top of the list. Luckily, I found a brilliant photographer who understood my unconventional vision and helped capture every special moment throughout the big day. We used a local florist who is a creative genius and made picking out flowers one of the easiest and most fun wedding planning activities. My advice for brides planning their wedding: don't sweat the small stuff (like your soon-to-be husband forgetting the flower girl's shoes). One day you'll laugh (or at least not cringe with anger). The important things are the people, the memories...and of course the pictures.
