Elegant Ridder Wedding

Benjamin and Jordan’s Magical Melbourne Wedding

From the bride: We held our wedding at the breathtaking grounds of the Inn at Oneonta in Melbourne, Kentucky, and it was beyond magical. While the girls got ready in the beautiful main house of the venue, the men enjoyed a glass of bourbon or two in a converted train station turned game room for the afternoon. Ben and I really wanted the wedding to be centered around family, so there were many personal touches. My mother walked me down the aisle, and we asked Ben's dad to be our officiant, which are both extremely special memories to us.

During our ceremony, we also lit a unity candle together, which was the same unity candle that Ben's parents lit at their wedding 30 years ago. Our goal was to have a wedding that truly defined us as a couple, and we tried really hard to add our own personal touches to everything. The theme of the wedding could be described as fall elegance, with deep burgundy Jenny Yoo bridesmaid dresses, beautiful bouquets of greenery and white roses, with gold accent pieces scattered among the decor. Our centerpieces were a DIY project where we recycled, old wine and bourbon bottles to give a masculine touch to the decor. My mother, who is an amazing baker, made our cupcakes, and wedding cake. As a surprise, she rented out a Graeter’s Ice Cream cart to serve ice cream at our wedding, since it is our favorite dessert.

Our photographer was a sorority sister of mine which was such a sweet touch, and she captured our day absolutely perfectly. At the reception, we celebrated with a southern themed buffet, good music, and even better drinks. Our wedding was an absolute dream and we have our friends, family, and wonderful vendors to thank! We look back on our day with nothing but the warmest, and happiest memories.
