Morgan and Tyler's Fall Wedding

Morgan and Tyler’s Walnut Spring Farm Wedding

From the bride: Our wedding was held on the grounds of Walnut Spring Farms with an outdoor ceremony under the walnut trees in a horse pasture with a barn reception. We aimed for a rustic but classic wedding with rich tones and colors of navy, burgundy, blush pink, cream, and hints of gold. We used both rustic and vintage elements throughout the day from wooden signs to the reception center pieces to family heirlooms.

The ceremony space was lined by gorgeous church pews with the rolling hills of Eastern Kentucky in the background, along with the remaining horse pastures and walnut trees. One important piece that was used within our ceremony was the arch that my grooms family & I made together. After the ceremony, our guests enjoyed a social hour where appetizers (chicken salad sliders and shrimp cocktail) were served as the reception space was being prepared for dinner. One of my favorite details of our reception space was the seating chart that I made for our big day that included our wedding crest that was used on several details for our big day. As everyone ate some good ole BBQ and delicious raspberry almond wedding cake and homemade apple and pecan pies, and danced, and fellowshipped together, we all watched as the sun set over those Kentucky hills. And to end the day we had a beautiful lantern release with our bridal party. It was truly the most magical day that we had been planning for over a year.

My advice to any future brides is to be sure of what you want. This is your big day. Don't let anyone else try to steer you in a direction where you feel like you don't have any say of what happens. Plan ahead, start early, and get as much done as you can before the craziness begins. I believe that you need as much help as you can get.
