Samantha and Adam’s Whitehall Wedding
Whitehall provides Perfect Backdrop for Samantha and Adam’s Wedding
From the bride: Adam stole my heart from day one. He was the guy who always sent me flowers on random occasions, or when I was having a bad day; the guy who knew how to plan the perfect date night, and the guy who would drive the 416 mile trip from Atlanta to Crestwood - if it meant we got to spend an extra weekend together.
Since I was a little girl I dreamed of that “soft, romantic, big-flowered, satin ball gown, perfect vow” wedding. I knew from the start that I wanted nothing black at my wedding, so pairing the soft colored flowers with the navy suits and the bridesmaid’s mulberry dresses turned out perfect.
Finding the perfect dress for my wedding day was surprisingly the easiest decision I made while planning. When it can make your mom cry with tears of happiness you know it’s perfect.
As for the atmosphere of our wedding, Adam and I wanted something that represented both of us. We decided to go with a traditional, sweet, and simple ceremony in the gardens. Our reception was just a very relaxed and fun event. Having all of our friends and family there to dance and celebrate our marriage was exactly what we wanted.
My best advice for soon-to-be brides would be to not overthink your wedding. Also, get to know your vendors and know what you want your wedding to look like. While there were a few glitches in our wedding day, they didn’t ruin or subtract from the magic of our perfect day. In the end, having all of our friends and family in one place to celebrate this new beginning in our life was everything we ever wanted.
