Taylor + Blake's Castle & Key Wedding
Our wedding truly stood out for its unique setting and thoughtful details, held at the stunning Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort. We welcomed our guests with champagne in the enchanting sunken garden for the ceremony. For the cocktail hour, we crafted signature drinks (Bride’s -Cucumber Gin and Tonic + Groom's Old Fashioned) with the Castle & Key’s mixologist.
In keeping with Kentucky tradition, we buried a bottle of bourbon a month before our big day for good luck and good weather. We dug it up on our wedding day, and the weather was perfect!
Though my father sadly passed away, his presence was felt throughout the day. My mother and I shared in the "Father of the Bride" dance to “You Should Be Here” by Cole Swindell, which was a touching tribute to him. Blake and I danced our first dance to “Perfect for Me” by Bradley Marshall.
The atmosphere was lively, with a packed dance floor, and our guest book had a special twist—After the Tone, where guests left us voicemails to cherish later. The cigar bar was a favorite among attendees, and the late-night French fry bar added a fun touch. To top it all off, we served espresso martinis at 10 PM to give everyone a boost!
Overall, it was a beautiful weekend filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments shared with family and friends from near and far.
Bride’s Advice: One piece of advice I wish I had received is to prioritize what truly matters to you as a couple and not get caught up in trends or other people's expectations. Focus on creating meaningful moments and memories rather than trying to please everyone. It’s your day, so make it reflect your unique love story!
