Stephanie + John Paul's Lexington Wedding

From the Bride: Our wedding was a perfect mix of old Hollywood glam and Kentucky charm. We both wanted a classic wedding but with modern elements that felt like us. We wanted everything to be downtown, and we used many of our favorite city spots for the different events over the day. All the girls and I got ready at the Hilton downtown. This was fun because I could see the top of St. Paul Church from the window while I was getting my hair and makeup done. We had our first look at the steps of the Visitor's Center, and after JP turned around we got cheers from the restaurant across the street which made it a perfect way to start the day. We took pictures with our family and bridal party in Gratz Park, which is where JP proposed to me just a year before. The ceremony was at St. Paul Church just around the corner, and one of my favorite parts of the day was our vintage Bentley getaway car for our first moments after the ceremony. It was so special to have the drive to the venue just to the two of us.

Our reception was at The Mane on Main, and it was the perfect spot for us. It overlooked the city so we got to see the sunset behind the buildings during dinner. The night was filled with lots of dancing, some crying, but most importantly - a lot of love. One of my favorite moments was our last dance before our send off. We had one last moment to take in the day and look at what all our hard work the past year had turned into. There were so many details I wanted to incorporate into the day, and with the help of my mom and our nightly strategy sessions, my vision was truly brought to life. From the invitation suite to the flowers to the signature cocktails (a version of our two favorite drinks - my drink was a Lemon Drop Martini and his was a Bourbon and Ale-8), everything really felt like us and it was so fun to see everything come together. We danced our first dance to “All This Time” by One Republic. We felt so much love and support from our friends and family that day, and it was absolutely the best way to start out our lives together!
