Natalie + Zach's Campton Wedding!

From the Bride: Our wedding was at Cliffview Resort; we stayed at the lodge all weekend with our family and friends. They were greeted with customized welcome bags, and tons of snacks. My brother hosted a trivia game for us following the rehearsal dinner and card games ensued following the wedding reception. More than a wedding, it was a weekend retreat with our closest friends and family. I was my own wedding planner and couldn’t have done it without the support of family and friends.

The ceremony was outdoors accompanied by a string quartet. Family shuttled guests from the reception hall to the ceremony site. Details of the day included family heirlooms, like my parent’s beaded wedding florals, our grandparent’s wedding rings and my husband's grandfather’s cowboy hat. A friend performed our ceremony on top of a mountain in Red River Gorge, the place my husband made wonderful memories growing up, and where we began our love story.

We personalized many items from custom koozies, and honoring lost family members to adoring our sweetheart table with my grandmother’s antique chairs. But mainly we wanted our wedding to be relaxing and fun. Our guest book was a coffee table book of photographed Kentucky landscapes, for guests to choose a page and leave a special note. I have a gluten allergy, so I choose my favorite gluten free dessert to serve - baby bundt cakes. We danced our first dance to “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. Guests hung out on wrap around porches and in the photo booth, we drove our jeep around the venue, and danced all night.

Bride’s Advice: It's not as stressful as everyone says! It was a lot of fun to plan our perfect day and I love reminiscing on the planning process because it was just as fun and exciting as putting it all together. I got to meet Randy Fenoli, spend several weekends in the gorge with my family and fiance, and had the best shower and bachelorette. So enjoy the journey and make it exactly what you want!
