Micaela + Robert's Covington Wedding
From the Bride: We think the most unique thing about our wedding was its intimate atmosphere. I'm sure many weddings may say that... but we believe the proof is in the pictures and the stories from our guests. That was one of the big responses we got. The 99 candle-lit kings table in the center, held the dimly lit room together to create a warm, classy, and inviting atmosphere. Not to mention everyone staying at Hotel Covington throughout the weekend continued that intimate spirit with friends and family hanging out throughout the hotel.. shout out to Coppin's Bar (located in the lobby), during the down time.
The venue for us was everything, which we luckily found when we were heading up to a Reds game! A really neat town by the river, a modern chic looking hotel with history, and a proven location that is known for putting on a good wedding. The Courtyard ceremony space there is so perfect, that we really didn't need much decor to give it a pop. And then The Madison's event spaces... The Chapel's exposed brick for our cocktail hour, right into The Galleria ballroom that provided just the right feel for what we were looking for in theme and style.
There were also a lot of fun details, the invitations with a custom drawing of the hotel, and the wax seal was a custom Hotel Covington logo. The groomsmen had custom socks with funny pictures of them. There were two different custom napkins, one with fun facts about the couple, and the other with an adorable picture of our dog Lily. We wanted a dessert bar. So we had 5 different desserts with a custom sign that had "Lily's Treats For Humans" and a custom illustration of our dog. Chocolate decadence cake, key lime mousse, chocolate peanut butter cups, bourbon butter cake, and cheesecake bites. The groom is obsessed with Cincinnati Chili so naturally we had to have Skyline Chili cheese coneys as a late night snack! Also the welcome bags, which we put in guests hotel rooms, came with a complementary bottle of Skyline hot sauce!
The bride wanted multiple looks, but instead of multiple dresses, had multiple custom sleeves that were removable from the gown (off the shoulder caps, full lace detail that matched the veil, and tool gloves).
We danced our first dance to "Coming Home" by Leon Bridges.
Bride’s Advice: Realize that you can't do everything in one day, that it is a culmination of a bunch of small decisions and actions. And to trust your vendors! I am beyond grateful for the team of vendors that made our day as beautiful and perfect as it was.
