Madison + Jacob's Georgetown Wedding

From the Bride: Our goal with the wedding was to have our guests leave knowing that we loved them and each other. We kept it pretty small (around 100 people), and we would not change a thing! We wanted our wedding to be PERSONAL and reflect who we truly are as a couple. Some ways we did this include serving pasta to our guests since we love making homemade pasta dishes together, getting a pub that Madison’s dad frequents to cater the dinner, having Ale 8 since the birthplace of it is in the town we have our first home together, continuing family traditions of loved ones that have passed, incorporating our precious cat, and having someone very dear to us officiate the wedding.

We are both incredibly passionate about Appalachia, where we are from, and wanted to hire smaller businesses from that region. We prioritized that in the budget, which allowed us to afford travel fees. Our vendors were all amazing and went above and beyond for us, especially after we lost our first venue four months before the wedding date.

After our stress-free morning with music and wine, a beautiful ceremony with lots of happy tears, and the best party with dinner and dancing, we all headed out for what we called Saddle Up with the Siferses. We played pool and danced the night away to country music at The Tipsy Cow Bar. The next morning, our friends met us at Churchill Downs for a day at the races, in true Kentucky fashion. It was a lovely weekend, and we will cherish it forever.

Bride’s Advice: Make it personal! It's the most special day, and you want your guests to truly get insight into what makes your relationship special. We still get compliments on this from our guests! This is also a great way for them to know how to support your marriage in the future.
