Laura + Luke's London Wedding

From the Bride: When I say our wedding day was perfect, it truly was. I don't believe tears stopped streaming from mine and Luke's eyes from the moment we had our first look. You could feel the love, the emotion, and the support between us and each of our families and friends all throughout the day. I am blessed to have such a great support system, one that has always stood beside me and helped plan and coordinate the wedding while Luke and I were completing our first year of medical school. Talk about added stress of planning a wedding! My most favorite details of our wedding are all thanks to that support system. My cousin, Sydney Matthews, completely arranged and crafted our beautiful florals. I wanted the day to have an airy, clean, elegant, bohemian feel, which I think our flowers captured beautifully. Our pastor that married my husband and I also officiated his parent's wedding, along with many of his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Most of all, my maternal grandmother who had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease was especially looking forward to my wedding day. Some days she wouldn't know whose wedding was coming up, but she knew there was one and was excited for it. She sadly passed away exactly one month after our wedding, on August 16, 2022. However, I am so thankful that God allowed her to attend, as He knew how much it meant to her. Our wedding day was full of love, family, friendship, beauty, and fun. That is all I ever could have asked for.

Bride’s Advice: Relax! Don't stress! Don't spend too much time worrying about small details--everyone is there for you and your partner, not the decorations or food or venue itself.
