Katie + Noah's Charleston, South Carolina Wedding

From the Bride: : I often think back on the morning of my wedding. I stayed at my parent’s house, away from my fiancé. I spent the morning by the pool, while my fiancé was beach side. It was such a low stress morning, ones that are definitely not talked about when you imagine a wedding. I owe that in part to my wedding planner, as well as having a small wedding party.

My fiancé and I took dance lessons through The Ballroom House in Lexington. This was such a fun and unique experience for the both of us and helped us stand out to our friends and family on our big day. Emma was our instructor and she was so patient and kind throughout our whole process she really made the whole experience so pleasant.

For our wedding, the food still stands out to me. Our whole meal was amazing, but in addition we had a traveling raw oyster bar that our guests still rave about. This was such a quintessential Charleston touch and one that sticks with our guests as well as us.

In addition to cake we had a gelato bar, which featured unforgettable flavors, that complimented the traditional cake. Our wedding planner Maggie with B.Young.Events was hands down the best investment. I was on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, but my venue required one. Thank goodness. She held my hand throughout the last 3 months leading up to the big day. She ensured vendors knew their roles as well as fixed anything not perfect before I could even tell there was a flaw. She stuck to a schedule throughout the day and ensured everyone was where they needed to be. I really don't think we could have pulled off a more perfect day, and I whole heartedly believe it is because of my wedding planner, Maggie.
We danced our first dance to “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez. We ended the night driving down King Street in a classic car, greeted with warm wishes from everyone on the street. It was the perfect ending, to the most perfect night.

Bride’s Advice: I highly recommend a small wedding party, as well as a wedding planner. Even if it’s just the partial planner, they take off so much stress. Both of my sisters have had the big weddings, neither with a planner and by having one it took off immense stress from not only the bride and groom but their families as well.
