Jordan + Sean's Louisville Engagement Session

From Jordan: On June 26th, 2021, Sean and his friend, Nick, to ventured out for drinks at the vibrant NuLu Marketplace, where they aimed to celebrate a recent collaborative accomplishment and commence their evening with a few frosty brews at West 6th Brewery. Seated on the outdoor patio, Sean's attention was immediately arrested by the sight of the most enchanting woman he had EVER laid eyes upon. Clad in a soft pink sundress that fluttered in the gentle breeze, she seemed to emit a radiant glow that transcended the night. Yet, it was her laughter—a unique, melodic "cackle" that reverberated through the night air—that truly piqued his interest. Despite initially admiring her from afar, Sean's curiosity impelled him to approach the mysterious woman and her companion. Jordan, seemingly unruffled by the arrival of these newfound acquaintances, continued to engross herself in a children's coloring book she had acquired from The Refinery, occasionally glancing at her phone with indifference that bordered on apathy.

As the night progressed, Sean's charm and charisma worked their magic, ultimately persuading Kaela and Jordan to join him and some friends for a sun-soaked adventure at Party Cove on the Ohio River the following day. Brimming with anticipation, Sean launched his boat the next morning and set off to Captain's Quarters to begin the rendezvous. Yet, excitement got the better of him, and he forgot to fuel the vessel. Thus resulting in a distressing tow out of the river and a day seemingly marred beyond repair. Sean harbored doubts that he would ever hear from Jordan again. That evening, while navigating the depths of disappointment and aimlessly scrolling a dating app (Hinge), Sean was struck by a revelation: he had matched with someone the previous night. Ironically, it was Jordan, who had swiped right at precisely 8:45 pm—the very moment they had all been sitting at the West 6th table together the night before. It was clear - Jordan had been so disinterested that she was willing to "explore" online while they were simultaneously sitting at the same table. The irony was not lost on Sean's then seemingly hopeless soul.

Sean recognized the significance of this against-all-odds second chance that stood before him. He promptly apologized for the ill-fated Sunday-Funday earlier that day and extended an invitation for the following weekend—a July 4th holiday excursion to Nolin Lake. After both sun-drenched days on the lake (and another incident involving running out of gas), Jordan and Sean found themselves sharing stories and laughter around the campfire at the Airbnb they had rented for the weekend. Hours melted away into the depths of the night, and what began as a chance encounter soon evolved into a profound connection. It was around that campfire that their special friendship ignited, a spark that would lead to a 1st date-of-sorts at Agave & Rye in the week that followed. The rest, as they say, is history—a love story born of serendipity, coloring books and empty gasoline tanks. All written in the stars on a warm summer night around the campfire. Sean eventually traded in that gas-less boat the following summer for a much better, shiny, diamond vessel that now floats a top Jordan's left hand. Now, their wedding is set for April 27, 2024, with a marriage ceremony at St. Boniface Catholic Church and celebration to follow at The Pointe (both venues in Louisville, KY).
