Emily + Kyle's Louisville Wedding

From the Bride: We had our rehearsal at the botanical gardens in Louisville with family, our wedding party, and friends who traveled to join us. The best man and matron of honor gave their speeches and then opened the mic. It was a blast and so special because many of our family and friends gave meaningful, impromptu speeches. We are so grateful to Connor and Emily for being present to capture these special moments!

Our ceremony took place at the beautiful historic St James Catholic Church on Bardstown road in Louisville. Officiated by Fr. Randy Hubbard, a close family friend of the groom, which made for some good story telling and a very special ceremony. The music was incredible with their 2200-pipe Pilcher/Webber organ played by the very talented Phil Hines.

The reception took place at The Gillespie in downtown Louisville. We danced our first dance to “Growing Old With You” by Restless Road. We danced on the main floor while our guests were having cocktail hour on the mezzanine. Everyone had a perfect view! We did dinner buffet style, shout out to Kingsley for a great meal! We had a small 2 layer banana wedding cake , a bourbon barrel cinnamon cake (it actually poured bourbon from the spout!), and cupcakes. We had a fabulous band, 64 West, and we danced all night.

Bride’s Advice: The best advice I received was to take moments throughout the day to pause and soak in all that is happening. The day is action packed and time flies.
