Dione + Tyler's Cincinnati Wedding

First of all, somehow we planned a whole wedding in less than 6 months while both of us work full time jobs and have side hustles!! It’s getting more popular, but we didn’t have a wedding party which helped us with having less decisions to make and less things to manage. For our ceremony, we had 2 surprise ring bearers! We hid both of our wedding bands under chairs and our officiant announced that 2 lucky guests have a ring under their chairs. We also hired a string trio to play classical songs during the ceremony and pop renditions during cocktail hour. A guest said cocktail hour was like being in Bridgerton!

During reception wedding speeches, Tyler’s dad sang us a song that we had no idea was going to happen!! Lots of friends and family told us it was a very sweet and memorable part of the evening. For our wedding dessert, we had 3 ice cream flavors from a local spot. They made a special flavor per my request since I couldn’t find coffee cookies and cream anywhere in Cincinnati! It’s a common flavor in the New England area, which is where I first had it. Ice cream was a hit for our guests! We finished 2.5 out of 3 tubs they brought!

We danced our first dance to “Every Night Every Morning” by Maoli. We went to Hawaii for 3 weeks in December 2023 right after we got engaged, and we heard this song all the time on the radio there. Plus the lyrics just really hit it home for us.

I ended up changing into a different outfit the last 45 min-hour of the night and it was a sparkly coordinating set I had bought for my bachelorette party. I was totally fine that I didn’t get any photos in it since my photographer was contracted to leave, but she saw me come out in the outfit and said she would’ve have regretted not getting photos of me in it, so she stayed extra to capture some moments in it!!

Bride’s Advice: Lean on your vendors for their expertise!! You hired them because you like their work. They’ve also done way more weddings than you! There is so much inspiration you can find on the internet and honestly it all gets overwhelming. For example, I was down to 2 napkin colors and different table number styles but wasn’t sure which one to go with. I asked my photographer which ones she thought would look good for photos. And for florals, I knew the colors and overall look/style I wanted, but had no idea what kind of flowers, so I leaned on my florist to pick the flowers and greenery. Same for our day-of coordinator, she helped us figure out what order of events made sense for us for the wedding day!
