Baylee + Caleb's Burkesville Wedding
From the Bride: That morning I had my bridesmaids wear dressing gowns like our grannies used to wear around the house. I had separate first looks with my father and my son. We did a first touch instead of a first look (Caleb didn’t want to do a first look). Caleb and his groomsmen wore bolo ties instead of regular ties. Caleb wore his cowboy hat. I didn’t have a traditional veil, I had a cape with fringe down the sides. I also had a smaller fringe cape to wear during the reception. My brother and my son were our “flower boys”. We didn’t have a ring bearer. We just had my brother carry my son down the aisle and toss out fallen leaves. For our social hour we had donut holes and a coffee bar for our guests. They could make their own hot or iced coffees using a variety of syrups and creamers then top them off with whipped cream! For the mother son dance Caleb and his mom did a western style line dance to Don’t Rock the Jukebox by Alan Jackson. Instead of having everyone eat cake we had a small cake for us and cupcakes for everyone else. Caleb and I are huge Dr. Pepper people so after we cut our cake we had glass bottle Dr. Peppers to wash it down with. Caleb and I are also huge fans of all things breakfast so for our reception we did breakfast that included white and chocolate gravy, biscuits, bacon, eggs, sausage, and fried potatoes. We had a pampas grass wall handmade by myself and my momma. We let off lanterns after our sparkler send off to end the evening.
Bride’s Advice: Have someone help you. I wish I would’ve hired my wedding planner sooner. She took all of the small stresses off of me and helped me to really enjoy our wedding day.
