Augusta + Alan's Louisville Wedding
From the bride: Our wedding was unique because it was a day filled of love that happened in the midst of a pandemic, protesting, and a curfew. We had many obstacles to overcome, but our love and perseverance overcame them. I fashioned a six-foot floral chandelier that hung above the dance floor- that was my quarantine project back in the spring. My favorite moment was right after we were pronounced husband and wife. I was so nervous- my voice was shaking when I read my vows. It was such a relief for the ceremony to be over. That moment was so special because I was able to let it soak in that we finally did it and pulled it off. I cried tears of joy the entire day. My husband’s favorite part was also right after the ceremony. He was grateful that we had actually accomplished it and we just had smooth sailing from then. If I had any advice to anyone who is engaged- it would be to avoid having a prolonged engagement. I’ve been so much happier since we’ve been married. Being engaged was incredibly stressful for me- I would encourage engaged couples to not give themselves too much time to put an excessive amount of expectations on themselves for their wedding day.
