Amanda + Michael's Louisville Wedding

From the Bride: As a covid bride, and having multiple wedding date changes, I knew at the end of the day that I wanted my wedding to truly be a party with everyone we loved. As much as things like florals, centerpieces, and the seating chart matter, it did not compare to the feeling of being surrounded by your friends and family screaming Beyonce's "Love on Top" at the top of our lungs. What I loved about our wedding was how romantic it felt and how the ambience was magical. There was little structure with how the night went after we eliminated some of the traditional wedding touches, and we concentrated on the entertainment and experience of our guests. What made our wedding stand out was the absolute perfect November day we were blessed with. We took pictures at St. James Court in Louisville and the yellow of the fall foliage was breathtaking. Our first dance was to “Simply The Best” by Noah Reid.

Another thing we invested in was the entertainment. We hired the BEST wedding band, Kudmani, and they truly kept the party going. We purchased light up foam sticks and the crowd went wild for them. They really enhanced the party and took it to the next level. Lastly, one thing I've done at several weddings I've attended since 2016 is karaoke "Africa" by Toto to the crowd, whether they know me or not. I've performed this karaoke act at probably 8-10 weddings over the last few years, and didn't even think about it for my own wedding. Luckily my friends talked to the band and got the song set up, threw me the mic, and let me do my thing. So I karaoked an incredible 80's hit to 200 close family and friends in my wedding dress. The pictures from this moment are priceless.

Bride’s Advice: You will plan for the most perfect day for you and your partner, and no matter what happens or what is forgotten, it will still be a perfect day. Carve out some time for you and your new spouse to spend alone time either before or after the ceremony to truly absorb all the feelings and memories of the day.
