Rebecca + Marcus' Beautiful Corbin Wedding

From the Bride: Planning our wedding day and the wedding day itself was full of anticipation and uncertainty. We were not sure that our wedding would happen the way we had planned until the day of August 1st. Planning a wedding during a worldwide pandemic caused bride stress that I never thought I would have. Being on the front lines of the pandemic as a nurse, I could see that this was not going to end anytime soon. As lockdowns and shutdowns began and then continued the thought of our wedding being affected became more of reality. Fortunately, I was blessed with the most amazing vendors who were set to make our wedding day happen no matter what and to help make it as "normal" as possible. With masks and hand sanitizer provided, we made it happen!

Following the recommended guidelines to the best of our ability, my wedding planner and her team created a beautiful (and distanced) reception that I had always envisioned. Modern white flowers mixed with beautiful greenery aligning perfectly with the classic gold centerpieces and satin napkins and table cloths. My favorite detail of the wedding was our head table which was filled with greenery, flowers and huge lanterns that made us feel like we were having an intimate dinner just the two of us. A beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling of the newly refinished barn venue. As previously mentioned, our day was also filled with uncertainty. The night before our wedding, it rained harder than I had seen it rain all summer and there didn't seem to be any breaks in rain on our wedding day. This put my vision of an outdoor ceremony in the dark. The morning of our wedding came and the sun was shining with a blue sky. The weather had cleared to scattered showers so with our fingers crossed, my planners decided to set up our ceremony not only inside, but outside as well so if the skies stayed clear then we were able to have it outside. Thankfully, we were able to have our dream (and safer) ceremony outside. Having our ceremony outside also allowed my husbands grandparents to watch from the safety of their vehicle and they were able to see their youngest grandson get married!

My favorite moment of the day, besides the big "I do" was having our pictures taken with my, now husband, by our awesome photographer. We had a "first look" before the ceremony and this allowed us to have time to fully soak in what was about to happen while having time to have beautiful pictures captures without feeling rushed. Another favorite memory of mine was being able to get ready with all my girls and my mom in the beautiful Princess Room on site at my reception venue. My husband, Marcus says that his favorite part of the wedding was our first look because that was the moment he had been waiting on his entire life, seeing his bride.
