Paige + Ian's Moody and Romantic Wedding
From the Bride: Trying to pick a favorite wedding day moment feels impossible. The whole day was a dream come true. We had picked out every little detail and worked with our vendors for months to make our day, which was a long time coming, a reality. We had many moments that honored much of our family who has passed away.
Some of our favorite moments were doing our first look in the sunken garden at my mother's childhood home. My aunt was married there in 1995 and I spent my summers growing up playing in the garden, as the home stayed within our family for 65 years. The current owners were gracious enough to allow us to do our first look there and take photos around the house that means so much to me. It was an homage to my late grandparents whose pride and joy was that house. Seeing my soon to husband in a place that means so much to me for the first time that day set the tone, and brought on lots of tears, both happy and sad. We broke glass as an honor to my husband’s family heritage which was beautiful honor to his late grandparents.
Ian's favorite moment of our day was seeing our daughter, Tegan, as she walked down the aisle. He could not hold back tears as he saw our beautiful girl walking towards him knowing our family would become "official" within a few moments. He wanted me to make sure to add that the food was also up there for one of his favorite things about the day, we created a menu with our amazing caterer to not only taste delicious but look amazing. We loved being able to laugh and have a ton of fun before the ceremony with our wedding party as our amazing photographer and videographer captured our day.
