Will + Alaina's Classic Wedding

From the Bride: Our wedding day was special for so many reasons. Our locations were all local to our hometown, the getting ready space, first look location, and reception space are all across the street from one another. The chapel we got married in is an old chapel built in 1886 and is located in a local area that Will has hunted in all his life, so we would often spend afternoons riding around the back roads around the church. Will's uncle stepped in as wedding coordinator, decorator, and florist. During the ceremony, my great uncle spoke for the opening introductions and prayer and two of my cousins shared their talent and sang. After the ceremony we were able to be driven off by Will's great uncle in his 1931 Ford Town Sedan, a very cool car! So much family involvement and as a family person that is what I loved most about our day! Seeing everything come together and knowing that is was all at the hands of family and Will and myself made it so special to me.

My favorite wedding day moment was our first look moment. We had our first look at the same location Will proposed and where we later had our engagement photos. It was that moment, standing in the exact spot that Will had gotten down on one knee just 9 months prior, locking eyes with him, that all my nerves from the morning vanished. We had written each other letters the night before and we shared them with one another during this time. This moment felt so calm and slow in a very chaotic fast-paced day. I enjoyed those few moments alone with Will just celebrating our love and our special day quietly with each other.

Will's favorite moment was also our first look. He is someone that is not a fan of being the center of attention, so just being able to celebrate each other away from everyone else and getting to see me in my dress without all the other eyes was something that he really enjoyed about the day. That and the cake!
