Katie + Tony's Speed Art Wedding
From the Bride: Our wedding day was everything I had dreamt of since I was a little girl, I’m sure that is a common remark of every bride. I truly loved seeing the pieces of our day fall into place and above everything our love for each other show. Our wedding was not only the blending of two families but also two cultures. My now husband’s family is Spanish and many family members live outside the US. We incorporated both cultures into our special day with readings during our ceremony in Spanish and English, as well as music from both cultures. I loved how we were able to blend both together to show our unique families.
Our vision for our wedding was to have a beautiful mix of modern and traditional styles. We started the day with a more traditional ceremony at St. Brigid Catholic Church. Tony and I are both Catholic; therefore we wanted our ceremony to reflect the relationship we both have with God. As a bride the feeling of walking down the aisle with your father in a beautiful church with your future husband standing at the altar is an amazing feeling, goosebumps!!
We ended the night with a modern twist by having our reception at the Speed Art Museum. We opened up the art gallery during cocktail hour for our guests to enjoy the amazing art work. The Speed Art Museum is absolutely stunning and we did not want to take away from the Museum. Our decorations were minimal; however, the decorations we did have were very thoughtful. Our favorite detail of the night was our sweetheart table, it was so intimate and the table surrounded by amazing florals. I hope you enjoy the pictures and brief message about our day.
