Emily and Benjamin's Sweet and Special Wedding

From the Bride: Our wedding day was one of the sweetest days of my life. It started by waking up in the cutest loft in downtown Shelbyville with my bridesmaids and glamour team to get ready for the big day. We then walked down the street to our historic and timeless venue.

We decided to go the traditional route and not do a first look. Therefore, with much anticipation, the moment the large double black doors that lead to the main room opened for me to walk down the aisle to my almost husband, was my groom’s favorite part of the day. Ben cried as the song I had picked for him played, and as I got closer to him. “That was when it hit me that we were getting ready to be married and she was about to be my wife. I couldn’t have been more thankful. Not only was it my favorite moment of our wedding day, but one of my favorite moments of my whole life.”

Two special friends of ours did our music. They sang before the ceremony as people were arriving, the processional, lead our guests in worship, and serenaded us during our first dance. After the ceremony concluded we had a sweet moment together, the first as husband and wife, in the foyer of our venue. I have never felt happier, as giddy, or relieved in my life. That first hug, that first kiss, and that first moment as one, was my favorite moment of our day. This was also the location of the popcorn and cocktail bar we had for our guests to enjoy while we took pictures.

The last detail that I love about our wedding, is that almost every single one of our vendors was local and/or we had a personal connection with. It was such a sweet and special day!
