Danielle and Joshua’s Louisville Waterfront Wedding

From the Groom: As proud Louisvillian’s we prioritized Louisville landmarks and experiences for our big day. Our day began with breakfast and preparation followed by photos. After a ride in a trolley style bus through downtown and down River Road, stopping along the way for photos, we arrived at our venue. We took advantage of the outdoor spaces for our late summer wedding by using the iconic water tower as the backdrop for our ceremony. After the ceremony we hosted our reception overlooking the Ohio River behind the museum.

This classic industrial landmark seems an unusual place for a wedding but it served as a perfect location for our enduring love. As the night progressed we were able to share our love with the people we cared about most with a vibrant evening of riverside dancing, conversation and laughter. As the night drew to a close we had the fortune to watch The Belle Of Louisville struggle its way north against the current and just as it went out of sight, fireworks could be seen in the distance. In those unplanned moments it felt like the city we loved was celebrating right along with us.
