Leah & Jesse's Lawrenceburg Wedding

From the Bride: We planned our wedding for 130 guests in 4 months at a beautiful new venue in Lawrenceburg, Ky. We both love Lexington and wanted something very close, but a little rustic. We had a very earthy, boho look for the decor with little touches of Kentucky such as Woodford bourbon bottles used as centerpieces surrounded by moss, resting on a log slice. We wanted something elegant but casual, with a build-your-own taco dinner, open bar and a Bourbon Honey flavored wedding cake and our wedding favors were cute little succulents.

We wanted to make the wedding very romantic, so we wrote our own vows, and read a love letter to each other in front of everyone. We played a song during the ceremony that had come on when we had went back to the exact spot we met at a year later. The bridesmaids all recited a love poem by Lang Leav, and there was not a dry eye in the house. What followed was an evening of dancing, corn hole, personalized cocktails, a very long best man speech that had everyone laughing and confused, sparkler send off, and thankfully no rain. The next day was an exhausting morning where we missed our flight to Japan, but it all worked out, and in the end we were off to explore Tokyo on our honeymoon.
