Sydnie + Tyler's Fun Minimalistic Wedding
From the Bride: My wedding was based around me being able to DIY as much as I possibly could. The centerpieces, flowers, signs, and most details were made by myself or my friends and family. I wanted to be able to make everything exactly how I wanted it in order to make sure it was perfect. If I didn't hand make something, someone else normally did. We had a giant sign hung up in our barn made by a local artist. Tyler and I both are more minimal and don't like a lot of decorations, so that is why we kept the details of the wedding very simple.
Our wedding being at a winery was also very important to me because of mine and my husband’s love for wine. We also had a wine bottle guest book that we are saving for our 1st, 5th, 10th, and 20th anniversaries. Each anniversary that we open them we get to see who was at our wedding and relive the day all over again. The vendors we had on our big day is honestly why our wedding was so perfect. I have never seen an event run more smooth than it did the day of my wedding. I would pick each of my vendors 100 more times if I could.
My favorite wedding day moment was getting to dance with my new husband on the dance floor surrounded by all of our friends and family dancing around us. Tyler and I really wanted everyone to have fun and just celebrate our love, so seeing everyone having such a good time with my new husband was amazing. I still think about that moment every time I look back at our wedding pictures. Tyler’s favorite moment of the wedding was at the very end of the night. We left the guests and went down to the lit stage where we had our ceremony and danced, just the two of us. It was the first time we were alone after being married and it was such a special moment for us both. The photographers even snuck down and was able to get a couple photos. We still love those photos because it was such an intimate moment between just us two.
