Lauren and Will's Classic Wedding
From the bride: Will and I are high school sweethearts! We were married on a beautiful Saturday surrounded by friends and family. Our high school strength and conditioning coach performed the ceremony, which added a personal touch since he knew us both from the beginning of our relationship. My twin sister, Scarlett, Will, and I planned the wedding together. I envisioned a classic, elegant wedding where everyone could feel the love of Christ as well as the love between Will & I. We participated in the Unity Cross Ceremony symbolizing the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit as the foundation for our marriage.
I loved the look and feel of outdoor weddings, but we wanted to get married in a chapel with a center aisle. The beautiful greenery and flowers throughout the chapel allowed us to bring the outdoor feel inside. Our ceremony was so sweet as my brother, Clay, composed and performed the song to which the bridesmaids walked down the aisle. I was able to DIY most of the signage for the reception, including one to encourage our guests to "capture the love" with our wedding hashtag. We loved the photo booth and corn hole boards that were available at the reception! Our night ended with a sparkler send-off.
There are two moments that stick out in our minds as favorites from our wedding day. My memory was when we prayed together before the ceremony. Will and I chose not to do a first look, but we wanted to be able to pray together before the ceremony. I had been so nervous throughout the day, but the second I was able to hold Will's hand from around the corner and he began to pray for us, all of my nerves disappeared. Will’s favorite part of the ceremony was seeing me walk down the aisle. He had not seen me that day and he said it was a moment he will never forget.
